Carica l'Asino is a nearly extinct native Ligurian grape that means "load the donkey". This spoke to Bruna Ferro and her husband Luigi Garberoglio, fourth generation winemakers who raise donkeys alongside vines at their biodynamic estate. No chemicals have been used at the property since 1984. The wine is waxy, with notes of apricot and other stonefruit, honeycomb and fennel blossom.
