From the limestone-and-marl soils of Les Chaumottes, Duchesne Frères ferments with partial whole clusters and raises the wine in older barrels to keep the focus on lift and precision. The 2023 shows bright red cherry and strawberry, rose petal, and a gently herbal snap from the stems, carried by lively acidity and fine, silky tannins. A clean, mineral-marked finish underscores the cool, mid-slope character of the site. A vibrant, site-transparent Bourgogne Rouge with real charm and finesse.
