Description
Tocai and Malvasia
Veneto , Italy
Marco Buratti owns a small plot of volcanic soil vineyards and woodland near the Euganei National, outside of Padova, in the Veneto. There he makes small amounts of uncompromising low to no intervention wines which are unique and true to the terroir, and mostly made to be drunk fresh, unfiltered and no sulfur added. The Birbo is a blend of Malvasia and Tocai and bucks wild a bit on opening but settles into a raw expression purity and depth of fruit. Funky fresh, not for everyone but very highly rewarding and enjoyable for those looking for the raw wine experience.
