Soil: Schist and oolitic limestone, pink in hue containing pale green grains

Age of vines: 60 years on average

Vinification: The wines are hand-harvested and vinified in a classic, traditional manner. The grapes are

destemmed, the alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously with natural yeasts. Aged in oak barrels

(approximately 20% new oak) between 12 and 18 months.

Tasting Notes: Intense red ruby color with beautiful brilliant reflections. The nose is precise and offers a

fantastic concentration of aromas. We can find in this wine all the elegance of a Pinot Noir coming from

a top vineyard site in Volnay. An abundance of fruit escapes from the glass as the wine opens.

Palate: Silky texture. Blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry notes are blended with fine, subtle tannins and

notes of earth and spice that are quintessential to red Burgundy.
